what the book is about // description on the backside:

charlie is a freshman. and while he´s not the biggest geek in the school, he is by no means popular. shy, introspective, intelligent beyond his years yet socially awkward, he is a wallflower, caught between trying to live a life and trying to run from it. charlie is attempting to navigate his way through uncharted territory: the world of first dates and mixed tapes, family dramas and new friends; the world of sex, drugs, and the rocky horror picture show, when all one requires is that   perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite. but charlie can´t stay on the sideline forever. standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective. but there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.   // written by stephen chboskky

why i love this book:

i absolutely love this book because it is written with heart and i think that everyone can relate to what the maincharacter is going through and what he feels like, well at least i can:)it is so well written and i feel like the author put so much thought into how he wanted his characters to be and to act like. these characters are all so different from each other that it makes the book so intersting. i couldn´t lay it down while reading it because i wanted to know what´s going to happen next. i desperatly wanted to know what charlies life would turn out like at the end and how is friendship would evolve with sam and patrick. a really cool thing about this book is that it mentions so many good books and songs. of course i had to look them up and found some new music i really love!
